Spots or Dots Mid Challenge Reminder

Welcome back to Crafty Boots Challenges, where it is time for our mid challenge reminder.  Our current challenge is 'Spots or Dots'.  We have had some fabulous entries for this challenge and the Design Team are really enjoying seeing all of them.

The winners of this Challenge will be given the opportunity to be featured in a future challenge as a Guest Designers.  Catherine and Lozzy were winners of our recent 'Gold and Silver' Challenge. As you can see, they are both very talented card makers, check out their blogs, you will be in for a treat.

Catherine

Hi, I'm Catherine aka Ammaris Art.  I live in Poland with my husband and two children.  I'm a very young blogger and card maker.  I discovered card making about a year ago and I fell in love with it completely.  My favourite style is vintage and shabby chic.  I love rich embellishments, layers, die cuts, inks and handmade flowers.

My name is Lorraine but I'm known really to everyone as Lozzy.  I'm 45 years old, live in the UK and have a full time career.  I have been Crafting now, as my hobby, for about 5 years and love every minute of it.  My main passion is card making using rubber and digi stamps as I love to colour.  I mainly use Spectrum Noir pens, but do have a tendency to use my Pro Marker pens for a change, as you get different results with the different pens.  I'm still learning a lot of crafty things and I try and vary my designs from CAS, Frilly and Flowery, to a bit on the darker side, but it just depends on when I look at an image to what I am going to create.  Last thing is that I would like to thank Crafty Boots for having me as one of their Guest Designer.

Our talented Design Team ladies have also been busy.

Spots or Dots

Welcome to a new challenge here at Crafty Boots, the theme for the next two weeks is 'Spots or Dots'.

What is the difference between a spot and a dot? To be honest I do not know but, whether you call them spots or dots, for the next two weeks we would like to see them in your projects.

As always with our challenges, you can use any materials you like, to make anything you like, for example, a card, a box top, a gift bag, a scrapbook page, an ATC, an inchie, etc. It is entirely up to you how you choose to interpret the theme.

Our fabulous Design Team have of course been busy making projects to inspire you:

Remembrance Mid Challenge Reminder

We are back today with the 'Remembrance/Giving Thanks' Mid Challenge reminder. There have been some amazing entries so far for this challenge and we have been having a great time looking at all of your fantastic work, please keep them coming.

I am sure that many of you will remember 'Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red' - the fabulous display of remembrance poppies at the Tower of London last year. The display has since been broken up and it has been touring parts of the country.

One of our lovely Design Team ladies caught up with the 'Wave' section of the installation at The Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Many thanks to Lisette for allowing us to use her photographs.

(The 'Weeping Window' section of the display can currently be seen at Liverpool's St George's Hall.)

The winners of this Challenge will be given the opportunity to be featured in a future challenge as a Guest Designers. Susan and Julie were winners of our recent 'Monochrome' Challenge. As you can see, they are both very talented card makers, check out their blogs, you will be in for a treat.

"I'm from Saskatchewan, Canada. I'm a mom of 2 grown children, and live with my 2 dogs, 2 birds and fish :) I've always been interested in crafty ventures and have dabbled (or wallowed, lol) in almost everything, except knitting and crocheting, which I just cannot comprehend. I've been making cards, and papercraft projects for 6 or 7 years now, and my New Year's resolution to never buy another greeting card again is the only one I've ever kept!! I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to Guest Design for Crafty Boots, as I've enjoyed their challenges and admired the DT work for some time now!!!

Julie

"My name is Julie Odil, of http://muddypawsinkyfingers.blogspot.com. I am primarily a card maker, but you never know what you might find when you visit my blog — I’m willing to try all things creative. I am most appreciative to the Crafty Boots team for this opportunity to guest design today. It is one of the many things I am thankful for!”

It is impossible to ignore the atrocities that took place in Paris on Friday night. Our Design Team ladies have dedicated their projects this week to the memory of those who lost their lives.
